have specialized in developing highly miniaturized sensor systems
for medical applications, in particular short or long-term implants
for measuring physical quantities, e.g. pressure, temperature,
etc., inside the human body.
Currently we are developing solutions for neurosurgical, ophthalmic
and cardio-vascular applications.
Pressure Monitoring
Starting with research projects in the mid 90s, Campus Micro Technologies
has been active in developing medical devices ever since. Applications
range from measuring the intra-ocular pressure based on a functionally
enhanced artificial lens used for replacing the clouded human
lens during cataract surgery to long-term monitoring of the intracranial
pressure in e. g. hydrocephalus patients.
